Elazbeth Baxter

Elizabeth Baxter is Director of Finance at Vårgrønn with responsibility for the financing of Green Volt, which is on track to be the first commercial scale floating offshore wind project globally. She also serves as a NED of POWERful Women, an organisation advancing gender-balance and inclusion in the UK energy sector. She was previously Director of Project Finance at Sonnedix, a global renewable energy independent power producer backed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Before joining Sonnedix, Elizabeth was a Principal Banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Joost Bergsma

Joost serves as Global Head of Clean Energy at Nuveen Infrastructure, formally Glennmont Partners where he was CEO and Managing Partner. He has grown Nuveen clean energy infrastructure into one of Europe’s largest clean energy investment platforms, raising €5 billion from blue chip investors through infrastructure equity and debt products. In 2024, Joost was honoured with the Inspiratia Energy Transition 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award for his impact and contributions to the Clean Energy sector.
Under his leadership, Nuveen’s clean energy infrastructure team has invested in major renewable energy projects across Europe, USA and APAC including offshore wind, solar, onshore wind and bioenergy. Joost leads the corporate strategy of Nuveen Clean Energy Infrastructure, and he sits on the Board of some of the organisation’s larger investments.
With over 25 years of experience in utility banking and fund management, Joost has devised and implemented asset and exit strategies, raising in excess of €10 billion of sales proceeds for energy clients.
Previously, Joost worked at SG Warburg & Co., ABN AMRO and BNP Paribas. He read Law at Leiden University (the Netherlands) and has an MBA from INSEAD (France).
Eric Bjonerud

Eric is a Managing Director for Macquarie Asset Management, responsible for origination, execution, and management of onshore renewables investments across EMEA and the Americas. Eric has originated and led investments into 10 projects and companies deploying more than €1.5 billion of equity investments on behalf of MAM GI. Prior to Macquarie, Eric worked at First Wind and SunEdison, where he focused on renewables investments across North America and Europe. He currently sits on the boards of directors at IGP, Galehead, Ventos de Sao Zacarias and Hydro Rein. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in finance from Georgetown University.
Carmen Caminero

+10 years of experience, mainly in RES (hydro, solar and onshore wind projects). She holds a degree plus a MSc in Civil Engineering with a specialisation in Energy , and an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) from IE Business School. Before joining EDPR, she worked for several renewable energy and infrastructure companies as business developer and contract manager in France, Norway and Spain. She joined the International Business Development department of EDPR in 2020, providing support to the EU&LATAM region. She’s now leading the UK&Ireland Business Unit as Country Manager.
Zlati Christov

Zlati is Chief Investment Officer at JERA Nex, bringing 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A and private equity to JERA Nex’s leadership team. Zlati is responsible for overseeing JERA Nex’s investment strategy and leading our M&A and partnerships execution team.
Prior to joining JERA Nex, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he led the renewable energy and energy transition investment banking client coverage in EMEA. Zlati has worked closely with many of the leading European and international utilities, renewable energy and clean technology companies, including advising JERA on the acquisition of Parkwind in 2023.
Joanna Ellis

Joanna Ellis, Nadara’s Chief Commercial Officer, has over 20 years’ experience in senior roles within vertically integrated utilities. She specialises in renewable power purchase agreements, product development, and market flexibility. Joanna began her career in short-term trading before moving to origination and later focused on flexible market routes for batteries and gas peakers. In 2024, she joined the UK Government’s DESNZ Onshore Wind Industry Taskforce, contributing to efforts to double onshore wind capacity by 2030. Her expertise spans trading, negotiation, and commercial operations in the UK power, gas, and coal sectors.

Ashima Gupta is the CEO and co-founder of Renew Risk, a cutting-edge risk modeling company that empowers the insurance sectors with actionable insights. With over 15 years of experience in financial services, including leadership roles, Ashima brings unparalleled expertise in building solutions for complex challenges.
Peter Highmore

Joined Orsted in 2015, heading the global Partnerships and M&A department since 2022, responsible for buy and sell-side M&A activities, development stage partnerships, and structured finance activities across all of Ørsted’s geographies and technologies. Prior to current role, headed up the Structured Finance team working predominantly on Orsted’s offshore wind assets.
Prior to joining Orsted, worked as a lawyer for 5 years at Linklaters LLP in London, focused on Energy and Infrastructure M&A and Project Financing, with a focus on renewables
Rutwij Hoshing

Rutwij is an Investment Manager at Gore Street Capital. He has led several key M&A transactions within California, Texas and the UK and deployed over £500m into the global energy storage sector. He has also secured project financing for more than 400MW of projects along with offtake contracts worth $140m in the sector. Rutwij has also led valuations of a portfolio of over 1GW in size. Rutwij has a Bachelors from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and holds a Masters in Management from London Business School. Rutwij was recently highly commended in the Rising Star of the Year category at the Energy Storage Investment Awards.
Natasha Luther-Jones

Natasha has over 20 years’ experience of helping a range of clients with renewable energy and sustainability projects in the UK and internationally. She assists companies in meeting their sustainability objectives through her instrumental role in developing DLA Piper’s leading corporate power purchase agreements (PPA) practice, advising on all types – physical, virtual and hybrid across all sectors.
Natasha advises on developments, investments, financings, refinancings, acquisitions, disposals, EPCs, O&Ms and PPAs. She works with developers, contractors, equity investors, purchasers, sellers, utilities and off-takers in respect of the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects.
Tim Pick MBE

Biography
In May 2023 Tim completed an assignment as the UK’s first Offshore Wind Champion with the publication of his report (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/accelerating-deployment-of-offshore-wind-farms-uk-offshore-wind-champion-recommendations ) containing detailed recommendations for Government, Industry and other stakeholders. He remains an advocate for positive change in the sector, and, amongst other roles in the sector, is Commissioner & Chair for the 2030 Clean Power Advisory Commission & Offshore Wind Growth Partnership.
Fraser McLachlan

As the CEO and Founder of GCube Underwriting Ltd., Fraser is responsible for driving strategy and business development, together with overseeing the international development of the company. With over 35 years’ experience in the insurance market, Fraser has held senior level positions at Aon, Miller, and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited. For most of his insurance career, Fraser has specialised in the renewable energy industry.
Since the formation of GCube in 2007, Fraser has driven the global expansion of the business – which now has offices in London, Amsterdam, New York, Newport Beach, Madrid and Sydney – grown gross written premium to in excess of USD140 million, and steered GCube to its acquisition by Tokio Marine HCC in 2020.
Shane Power

Shane joined NTR in 2022 and leads on investments into offshore wind assets across Europe and investments in the UK market across a range of technologies. Prior to NTR, Shane spent 5 years in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs working on financing and derivative transactions across energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Shane spent 6 years at Investec working on a broad range of financing and M&A mandates across energy and infrastructure sectors.
Martin Neubert
James Samworth

James Samworth is a Partner at Schroders Greencoat, a £9bn renewable infrastructure investor acquired by Schroders in 2022. James joined Schroders Greencoat in January 2019 and manages the Energy Transition division, which now manages £1.5bn of assets, ranging from biomass to renewable heat to green hydrogen. James also chairs the ESG committee at Schroders Greencoat. He has 16 years of investment experience, of which the last 15 years have been focused solely on renewables. Prior to joining Greencoat, James co-led the waste and bioenergy investment team at Foresight Group.
Paul Stapleton

Paul Stapleton was appointed Executive Director, Group Finance and Commercial in October 2022. Prior to his current role, Paul was Managing Director of Northern Ireland Electricity Networks, an independent subsidiary of ESB. He joined ESB in 1991 and has worked in various roles in finance and managerial positions across the Group including General Manager of Electric Ireland, ESB Group Treasurer and Financial Controller of ESB Networks. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and an IOD Chartered Director.
Lucy Whitford

Lucy Whitford has 25 years’ experience of developing and constructing renewable energy projects across the UK&I, becoming Managing Director in 2018. Rising through the business during her career Lucy has been at the centre of advancing both wind and solar to ensure that today they deliver the lowest cost of electricity for consumers.
Lucy is a passionate leader of the industry and plays an active role in championing renewables. Lucy is a member of RenewableUK’s Strategic Advisory Committee, was a founder member of RenewableNI and was recently asked to sit on the UK government’s Onshore Wind Taskforce.
