The UK battery storage market delivered exceptional returns in its early years, and then revenues collapsed before recovering. The pattern raises an uncomfortable question that sits beneath every revenue forecast: does a sufficiently large fleet of batteries cannibalise the services that make individual assets profitable? This session confronts that challenge directly, and asks whether what looked like market self-correction was partly something else: regulatory changes doing work that economics alone may not reliably do. **Key questions** - The UK revenue cycle (exceptional returns, then collapse, then recovery) is often cited as proof of a self-correcting market.
